A message from our Managing Director
I set up Exceda in 2021, having worked for both large ‘high street’ recruitment agencies, and independent boutique agencies in The Midlands for nearly 20 years. Everywhere I worked it struck me that the more successful placements happened when I had developed long term relationships with clients and candidates. Working with clients for many years, you gain the knowledge to understand exactly what they’re looking for, often it’s not what’s on their job specification, and with experience you’re able to find them the candidate that they don’t even realise are the perfect match for their business.
Building strong, long-lasting, personal relationships is everything in recruitment.
Churning applications and CVs for a quick turn-around, quick role placements, and quick payouts doesn’t help the client or candidate.
I realised that poor service and mismatched clients and candidates were giving recruitment a bad rep and I wanted to offer something different, something much more person-focused, and that’s when Exceda was born!
Being a person focused, holistic, and collaborative business is at the heart of everything we do.
With every client I work with, I want to offer a flexible solution because your recruitment need is as unique as your business. That’s why my pricing structure is so unique. Typically I take 50% of my fee on the start date of a candidate, with the rest of my fee spread across the first 3, 6, or even 12 months. Why do I do this? Because it proves that I’m invested (quite literally) in the success of the placement. I’ll be involved with the onboarding, and be in regular contact with both clients and candidates during this time.
For clients, this means they pay substantially less for candidates that don’t work out, which is very rare that it doesn’t! And for me, it means I spend more time up-front match-making clients and candidates.
I will not just send you CVs for a role.
I always meet clients first, get to know their business, their application processes, the role profile and skillset required, and understand the culture of the business and the team. I work to find the perfect candidate via an interviewing process where again I focus on skillset and cultural fit. It is only after this, that you’ll see their CV.
Working this way helps to create long term partnerships that last well beyond one placement. I am invested in the growth of the businesses I work with, and the personal and professional growth of the candidates I place.

Whether you need help establishing the staffing requirements as your business grows or plan your next hire, or need help to advertise and market a role, or need to establish HR and staff development procedures such as KPIs. I love working with clients on a consultative basis.
